Practice Background

Mount Pleasant Practice has been in continuous existence since before the NHS was formed. It is a Practice of Doctors working as an unlimited partnership. All our staff work together as a team with the aim of providing the highest possible level of care to the best medical standards for our patients’ benefit.

We provide General Medical Services on behalf of the NHS to a Practice population of over 8300 patients from both our main site in Chepstow and our branch site in Portskewett. Patients can choose appointments at either site and NHS Regulations allow us to dispense medicines (like a chemist) to those of our patients who meet the relevant criteria.

We believe that patients are in charge of their own health. We aim to always treat our patients with dignity and with respect. We will provide the same standard of care irrespective of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religious belief, political opinion or affiliation, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, age or disability.
